Looe Sailing Club were pleased to host the Enterprise South West Area Championships.

Seventeen competitors took part from Penzance in the west to Reading in the east in five races over two days, three on Saturday and two on Sunday.

Fresh winds on Saturday gave some of the best sailing conditions in Looe Bay for some time.

Overall winners were the Looe pairing of Gareth Shaw and Matt Jaycock with two wins and two second places, dropping their worst result, a fourth, to finish on six points. They were two points ahead of Jeremy Stephens and Ryan Crawford from Penzance.
