DOBWALLS will be the first to admit that they contributed towards their own downfall as St Dennis claimed a place in the Durning Lawrence Cornwall Charity Cup final with a 5-2 victory at St Blazey's Blaise Park ground.
Paul Andrews' side found themselves two goals adrift inside the first 11 minutes after Ryan Hayhurst and Scott Hill had both found the back of Tom Beman's net.
Dobwalls gave themselves hope when Martyn Hake pulled a goal back before the break, and this provided them the impetus to take the game to the Saints in the second half.
They were rewarded when Harry Hook restored parity, 20 minutes from time, but slack marking gave the Saints' top scorer, Carl Rickard, the opportunity to restore St Dennis' advantage.
Rickard's 30-yard free-kick then left Beman floundering, before Kyle Friendship assured that his side would be taking part in the May 9 final against Penryn Athletic at a venue yet to be decided.
