Life-saving equipment has been installed in West Looe thanks to the efforts of a local running club.

The FLEET Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) was purchased with money raised by the Looe Pioneers at the 2016 Looe 10 Miler event.

Further donations came from Looe Lions, Looe Tennis Club, a Liskeard Masonic Lodge and Looe Pioneer Mandy Gibson, who ran the London Marathon for sponsorship.

The PAD has been placed at the West Looe Shelter on the quayside.

The 2017 Looe 10 Miler, sponsored again by CornishPasties.com, will be held on Sunday February 26. It now features in the Cornish Grand Prix series of road races.
