Liskeard-Looe chairman Phil Mutton told the Cornish Times: ‘We are very proud as a club on Olly’s achievement, coming off the back of a good season back up in a higher league.
‘The youngsters we have had coming through from the colts this season have stepped up with Aggy producing some excellent performances to warrant the selection.
‘In my time with the club, that I can remember, we have only had players that have moved to other clubs representing the county.
‘To have a player that has played for us all season is an honour for the player, the coaches and the club in general.’
Liskeard-Looe’s first team coach Neil Bayliss said: ‘Olly has come to us this season from the colts section and really grown into his role in the squad.
‘His hard work, commitment and attitude have been excellent and I was delighted to see him gain his first full cap for Cornwall last night.
‘I’m led to believe he is the first current Liskeard player to do so. It was a fitting reward for all his efforts this season.’
Cornwall’s head coach Graham Dawe was satisfied with the performance. He said: ‘We have had some good training sessions and looked at a number of players. Some of the lads have put their hands up for selection in the Championship.’
