A CRICKET coach at a South East Cornwall club has been recognised for his outstanding service to the grassroots game.

Robin Trethowan, a player and coach at Menheniot-Looe Cricket Club, received a special coaching certificate from former England captain Andrew Strauss, during the fifth Investec Ashes Test match against Australia at The Oval.

Trethowan was given the exclusive opportunity to attend the Test match as part of the Sky Sports ECB Coach Education programme.
