FOR the past seven weeks, Lostwithiel Bowling Club has been welcoming children from Braddock School, East Taphouse, for a number of events.

The Fowey Valley echoed with shouts and cheers when bowls touched the jack or beat the opposition team's nearest bowl.

A total of 30 children took part, together with some parents and teachers.

A triples competition was played, with the eventual winners being Lily, Jack and Robbie.
