PAM Hughes bagged a hole-in-one on the 16th en route to a winning score of 42 points in the monthly Stableford, held over the Kernow Course, which reduced her handicap to 17.

The runner-up in the first division, with a very good score of 39 points, was Bridget Worth, closely followed by Thelma McEvoy on 38.

Hazel Beadle was triumphant in the second division, scoring an impressive 40 points to finish ahead of Jane Castell (37) and Hilda McKinley (36).

The nine-hole competition was won by 'the remarkable octogenarian' Gela Inman, with 21 points.
