More than 40 competitors from all over the country will converge near Looe this weekend for the GB Ocean Ski race.
With conditions forecast to be dramatic on the water for the contest tomorrow afternoon, the contest is set to be ‘exhilarating but not for the faint-hearted’ says organiser Andy Parritt.
Long distance Ocean Ski paddling is a rapidly growing watersport in the UK, bringing together physical effort, great competition and ocean paddling skills in a friendly sporting environment.
Tomorrow’s race at 2pm will set out from Talland on a course around to Polperro and then back via Ranney’s Cardinal into Millendreath.
A barbecue on the beach will follow the event with mayor of Looe Armand Toms to present prizes at 6pm.
