JOHN Nicholls and his former Bindown playing colleague Malcolm Cole, now of St Enodoc, managed a third-place finish in the latest Tulip Cornwall Professional Golfers' Alliance meeting, held at Trevose.

However, the competition was dominated by players from the host club. A field of 104 players experienced a variety of conditions, from rain and strong winds to sunny and bright intervals.
