Torpoint Mosquito Sailing Club is planning a new rowing section.
The Marine Drive-based club already has sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving sections, storage for kayaks and a thriving cadet section for younger sailors.
It has now been offered two 18ft boats, known as half-gigs or giglets, to kick start a gig rowing section.
Torpoint Mosquito is now nviting anyone interested in rowing, whether a beginner or with more experience, to get in touch.
Secretary Bob Holder said: 'I am delighted Torpoint Mosquito has been given the chance to launch a rowing section.
'The club is at the heart of the Torpoint community and establishing a rowing section will allow us to extend the range of activities we can offer and so become a true water sports hub for local people.
'We would love to hear from anyone from Torpoint's now-closed rowing club who is missing getting out on the water as well as anyone who is completely new to the sport, added Bob. Anyone interested should email him at [email protected]">[email protected]
