CHRIS Mitchell, who played his first League snooker match for four seasons, together with Matt Woodward (33 break), helped cause the biggest shock of the campaign as Dobwalls beat St Dominick A, 3-2, to end their unbeaten W H Bond Premier Snooker League run.
Andrew Pearce compiled a knock of 33 for the Saints.
St Cleer returned to the top of the table in this two-horse race for the title as they overcame Looe Social B, 3-2, with a winning break of 44 from Alex Snell.
Third-placed Looe Social C – who are 13 points behind St Dominick A – triumphed 3-2 on the road at St Neot A, with Darren Lock knocking a 31 for the victors.
Freathy, after going down 4-1 to St Dominick B, remain third from bottom but do have a game in hand.
After a good start to the first half of the season, Essa Club's hopes of staying in the top-flight took a knock.
Having only picked up two points in their last three matches, they lost 4-1 to Pelynt A.
Lanreath started the New Year with a bang, pinching the Division One Runabout Trophy from table-topping St Germans with a 3-2 scoreline.
Meanwhile, Looe Social D closed the gap to three points after a nap victory over second-from-bottom St Neot C.
