EAST Cornwall snooker star Darran Lock is hoping to go one step further in the 2013-14 English Six-Reds Snooker Championship, after being beaten in the final last season.

Lock, from Seaton, near Looe, won all three of his best-of-seven-frame matches during the southern qualifier at Frames Sports Bar, Coulsdon, Croydon.

The Liskeard and District League ace, who also represents Lostwithiel Social Club in the Cornwall Invitational Premier League, will now take his place in the last-16 meeting, which is being held in March at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.
