THE East Cornwall Premier League will start with 30 teams after it was revealed at the AGM, held at the Cornwall County FA headquarters in Bodmin, that no new sides will be admitted for the 2012-13 season.

The League also said farewell to long-serving secretary Ivor Trudgeon, who has stood down after 33 years in the post.

Mr Trudgeon was presented with a bowl by League president Dennis Champion to mark his tenure. His position will be filled by former chairman of the League, Ken Adkins.

A number of issues were raised at the meeting, one being the constitution of the two divisions – which has been set at 15 teams apiece.

It means that with Sticker taking promotion to the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League, the East Cornall League has promoted Liskeard Athletic and Millbrook to the Premier Division, with St Stephens Borough and Bodmin Town being relegated to Division One.
