THE penultimate race of the season in Looe brought fresh south-westerly winds that caught out several of the crews.
There were a number of capsizes, mainly at the gybe-mark, one being Redwing class table-topper Peter Kinver, who was leading the fleet at the time.
This gave his arch-rival, Colin Crabb, the chance to slip past and hold on to the lead for a further two rounds. However, he was eventually overtaken by Kinver on the windward beat of the last round to record yet another victory.
