A TORPOINT youngster is celebrating after retaining his British crown in the GMPD (Gymnastics and Movement for the Physically Disabled) Trampolining National A Category Two.

Jago Deighton, a Torpoint Community College student, came away with a gold medal for the third year running.

The 13-year-old has enjoyed a successful year, winning the South West gala in Bath, the South East gala in Gillingham and Northern gala in South Shields, which automatically qualified him for the finals.

He was one of three competitors from the Saltash-based Zero Gravity Academy of Gymnastics and Trampolining who travelled to Birmingham.
