ST MELLION INTERNATIONAL GOLF RESORT

The Fossils

FOLLOWING the previous week's light-hearted Devon and Cornwall versus the 'Rest of the World' match, a field of 52 Fossils battled it out for the Founder's Trophy.

The threatening skies hanging over St Mellion gradually gave way to pleasant sunshine and a swirling wind, which helped dry out the course following the previous day's rain.

Top scorer and winner of the Founder's Trophy was Tony Hurley, who scored 42 points. Also worthy of a mention is third-placed player, Peter Pascoe, who recorded 38 points having just rejoined the Gold Division.
