When the captain of Looe Golf Club heard that the 1st Polperro Guides were in need of new tents, he was only too pleased to come to their help.

Seen here are the Guides who went along to put up their tents on the golf course while enjoying a brief visit to show their appreciation.

The golf club’s 2016 captain, Steve Wilkins, centre, joked to Karen Bowden, far right, that while most club members would opt for the comfort of four walls and a cup of tea in front of the television in preference to camping in a tent, they were more than happy to support such a worthwhile cause.
