DOBWALLS travelled to Newquay for their second pre-season friendly last Sunday, looking to continue their explosive start to the campaign.

The Reds were upbeat in their warm-up, and this translated to the start of play.

Even though it was an even contest at first, this proved to be the difference for the visitors and Jack Libby broke the deadlock with a well-crafted cross from the right byeline, which was too good for everyone and nestled into the top left corner of Newquay's goal.

The first half then saw a brace from Harry Gilbert, one of which was assisted by James Lorenz's telling pass, which took Gilbert's tally to 100 goals for the club.

There was also a well-taken goal for captain Jacob Olver, whose positioning was great and finish well composed.
