CHINA Fleet Golf Club's Tom Fox can look back on this year's Brabazon Trophy with pride, after his South Western Counties Golf Association (SWCGA) Strokeplay win earned the Cornwall County player an automatic place in one of the country's leading amateur events.

The Brabazon Trophy was staged over four strokeplay rounds at Seaton Carew Golf Club, just south of Hartlepool. And, going up against a field of 150 players, Fox should be satisfied with his performance and certainly getting himself noticed on the national stage by virtue of his first-round performance.
