Millbrook 4 Sticker 0

Millbrook moved up to seventh in the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League premier division on Tuesday night with an emphatic win over bottom side Sticker at Jenkins Park.

Manager Mackenzie Brown described it as his side’s best performance since gaining promotion to the top flight.

Curtis Damerell set them on their way with a ninth minute goal, his second in two games since signing from neighbours Torpoint.

Millbrook dominated the first half but failed to turn chances into goals until the second half when Jack Wood doubled their lead after 47 minutes.

Liam Thornton made it 3-0 in the 67th minute after good work by Lewis Kershaw, and Graham O’Neill’s 85th minute strike completed the scoring.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Callington Town were beaten 2-1 at Elburton Villa despite a late goal, while leaders Plymouth Argyle reserves lost 1-0 at home to Exmouth Town.

St Austell were 3-1 winners at Launceston and moved up to third.
