Liskeard Athletic duo Luke Gwillam and Max Gilbert have been named in the Cornwall squad to face Somerset in the South West Counties Under 18 Championship Group A at Welton Rovers FC on Saturday (2.30pm).

The county side, managed by former Blues’ striker Glynn Hooper, made a strong start to their campaign when they defeated Devon FA 4-1.

They will be looking to take that momentum into what promises to be a very tough fixture against a strong Somerset side.

This will be Somerset’s first game in the competition this season but having won the group last year and after losing narrowly in the final they will provide a very stern test for a talented Cornwall squad.
