Saturday was the hottest day of the summer so far with a full programme in the Cornwall Cricket League minus eight exceptions due to COVID-19 issues within some clubs, including at Callington who were unable to fulfil their fixture at Penzance in the ECB Cornwall Premier League.
Callington’s second and third teams kept up their pursuit of the Division Two East and Three East titles while in Division Two, Menheniot won a nailbiter over neighbours Tideford. Inside is a report and reaction from skippers Marc Wright and David Lockett.
