Torpoint Athletic were hoping their floodlights would be back in action this week.

Ironically their opponents on Saturday suffered an even worse situation when the high winds blew down one of their pylons. This has resulted in Saturday’s league match at Launceston being given a 2.15pm kick off.

It is the same situation at Kimberley Stadium where Saltash United’s floodlights suffered a failure which also means a 2.15pm kick off at home to local rivals Callington Town.

Unfortunately the prohibitive cost of repair may not see the Kimberley Stadium lights being repaired until the off-season.
