Caradon Hockey Club staged its first junior hockey tournament when their squads competed against teams from Truro, Launceston, Penzance and Plymouth Marjons.

There were categories for under 12 mixed and under 14 boys and girls.

Liskeard’s Lux Park astroturf was taken over for the day with large numbers of players, parents and supporters encouraging their teams.

The matches were followed by a barbecue after which the players moved to Liskeard Sports Club to watch an international hockey match on TV. The day was rounded off with a disco and buffet in the clubhouse.
