IN the annual Saltash United versus Torpoint Athletic Tamar match the Ashes will look to their recent 4-0 victory over Callington Town in their efforts to see off their local opponents who they will meet for the first time this season. With the floodlights still out of action until possibly the close season due to cost implications, the kick-off time has been brought forward to 11am tomorrow (Boxing Day).
Torpoint, in the meantime, will look to extend their recent good form as they have lost just one game in their last eight games.
Callington Town have yet to have their floodlights installed so their kick-off against Launceston is also at 11am.
In Division One West the big local derby is at Lantoom Park where Dobwalls face the team just up the A38 – Liskeard Athletic. This too has an 11am kick-off.
It could be a make or break game at Millbrook who take on the team immediately below them, Vospers Oak Villa, at Jenkins Park with an 11am kick-off. All of these games are subject to the recent poor weather relenting.
