East Cornwall Premier League clubs will be hoping for better weather this weekend after the lucrative festive season fixtures were ruined by the inclement weather.

Just one match was played in the Premier Division along with four Division One games.

Premier Division leaders Saltash United will want to get back to winning ways, following their surprise defeat at St Stephens Borough, when they make the difficult trip to in form Polperro.

The Borough will also be hoping to get back to winning ways following their defeat against Bere Alston United with a full squad to pick from when they visit bottom club Launceston having already beaten them 5-1 at home.

League champions Torpoint Athletic could be facing their most difficult task of the season when they travel to in-form Tavistock. The pair met in the league cup where Torpoint won a terrific tie 5-4.

In-form Callington Town will look to see off local rivals Liskeard Athletic who have only won one of their last eight games and only two all season.

St Dominick are another team looking to get back to winning ways, as they have only won one of their last eight games, when they take on Bere Alston United who have only lost one league match to date.

In Division One Pensilva will look to extend their unbeaten season to nine games when they entertain Bude Town who they have already beaten

4-1 away.

An improved Lanreath will have to be in top form if they are to get anything out of their visit to St Austell who have won all of their nine league matches to date.
