A five-a-side football tournament took place at Looe Academy to raise money for a father and daughter to trek the Great Wall of China. £5,400 is needed to send a local father and daughter – Ian and Lizzie Rice – on the trek which is to in support of children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent. Ian’s elder daughter Lucy lost her battle with cancer 10 years ago at the age of 16. £1,200 was raised at the match.
