DI Roy from Liskeard, a member of the East Cornwall Harriers and the runners known as Mudcrew, has returned triumphant from the Dartmoor Vale Marathon held at the weekend.

She was the first woman over the line in a time of 3hrs 24 mins, just five minutes slower than her time back in 2011.

'It was quite hilly and as I am now in the over 50s, I consider that not bad for an old bird,' said Di.

It was Di's 80th marathon/ultra marathon to date, and she is planning her 100th for the Cornish Marathon next year.
