PENSILVA defeated Maker-with-Rame, 2-1, at the weekend in a Division One match certainly not for the faint-hearted.

Maker were awarded a penalty in the first Two minutes but missed the target to let Pensilva off the hook.

And they were made to pay further when the Pens took the lead on nine minutes, Sam Rogers playing in Jonny Filbey, who made no mistake.

It was 2-0 on 31 minutes when Jack Penhaligan passed to Zak Peel, who got in behind the Maker defence to fire in to an empty net.

The hosts reduced the arrears two minutes

before half-time through a Rob Edwards header

but, despite the visitors peppering the home goal

in the second period, there were no more goals.
