THE smiles on the faces of East Looe-based members of Looe Bowling Club were as wide as the Tamar Bridge when an inter-club men v. women friendly at the Hannafore green brought another season to a successful conclusion.

The 'Easties' were still revelling in the glory of their audacious victory over the 'West' members in the annual challenge match at which East skipper Mike Croker received the Cup from president Brian Ilson.

The well-contested match ended in an 82-62 win for the East – their first success in seven years
