Liskeard Tigers went into their last game of the season knowing only a win would secure them third spot.
But it was not to be after third-placed Tigers’ started slowly start against fourth placed Plymvic Saints.
They found themselves 3-8 down at the end of the first and although they steadied for the second quarter and won the quarter by one goal they were still four goals down at 9-13.
Tigers won the third and fourth quarters by a solitary goal but it enough to take the match with the final score Liskeard Tigers 20-Plymvic Saints 22, meaning Tigers finished in fourth spot in Division One of the Plymouth and District Netball League.
Liskeard Netball Club will resume in August and are always looking for new players, either to play for the teams or just to keep fit.
