Plymouth Devils faced a frustrating weekend with an away loss to Somerset Rebels on Friday and a postponement due to bad weather the following night.

The Devils, led by Cornishman Ben Barker, went down 38-28 at the Oaktree Arena in the meeting that was curtailed after 11 heats due to rain. Barker himself faced a tough night scoring three points from his three rides. Barker was hoping that a new engine would help him find some form but this wasn’t to be after the new engine blew during its first outing.

Plymouth’s attention will now turn back to the Premier League with the arrival of Workington Comets tonight.
