A weakened Ashes outfit suffered their first defeat in nine games against a strong Launceston outfit. Saltash were stunned inside the opening 15 minutes when the visitors took a two-goal lead through Mark Gusterson and Ryan Crabb whose free kick was fumbled by teenage goalkeeper Tyler Holter.

Saltash composed themselves and deservedly reduced the arrears when a great run from Sean Cleary ended with him firing home from 20 yards. Saltash started on the front foot in the second half but were then stunned by a breakaway goal from Josh Harris. Saltash were determined not to end their unbeaten run and drew level with goals from Joe Fry and a terrific drive from Matt Glendenning. Saltash went all out for the winner but were stunned again when Launceston broke to snatch the winner through Paul Chewun.
