A second meeting to discuss the future of cricket in Liskeard is being held at the Sports and Social Club at Lux Park on Monday, October 22 (7pm).

Liskeard Cricket Club secretary John Coates said: ‘It is only four weeks since a group met to make a start on testing interest in forming a new Liskeard Cricket Club.

‘Small in numbers but full of enthusiasm, the group left the first meeting with a number of tasks to make some firm foundations.’

He added: ‘Everyone with an interest in joining in the new venture will be very welcome next Monday.

‘Clearly this is early days and there are plenty of options for new teams for young people as well as the more traditional approach.’
