SALTASH moved to the top of the table following this hard-fought victory, but they had to rely on a last-minute goal to do so.

After a couple of close shaves, the Ashes took a 15th-minute lead when Carl Powell-Thomas played in Stuart Fort, who shot the ball in to the far corner of the net.

The hosts were then denied a second goal when a Powell-Thomas effort was ruled out for offside.

And Saltash's luck was out again when Fort worked himself a shooting position, but his strike rebounded back in to play off the post.

With time running out, the Ashes grabbed the winner when Baylee Cooke fired home.
