WITH the London 2012 Games well under way, Callington Community College held an Olympic Festival for its partner primaries.

Students were able to choose from handball, athletics, Boccia, mountain-biking, inflatable Grand National, fencing, inflatable table football and sports media.

The Olympic-style opening ceremony saw Year 7 students perform a dance, before the competitors walked around the athletics track showing their flags and banners.

As the athletes performed throughout the day, Olympic closing ceremony dancer Tara Walker choreographed a piece with 20 students.
