A CHARITY football match is being held at Saltash United's Kimberley Stadium next week to raise money for Leu-kaemia and Lymphoma Research, as well as Carbon Monoxide Awareness.
The fixture – between Saltash United Veterans and Plymouth Argyle Legends. which is due to be played next Sunday (November 17) with a 1.30 pm kick-off – is being arranged by Damian Smith and one of his friends.
Damian explained: 'In 2001, at the age of 26, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and received a bone marrow transplant from my brother Richard, which saved my life. Sadly, in 2010, Richard, was killed in a domestic carbon monoxide poisoning at his home in Saltash.
