Caradon Ladies hockey team travel to Tiverton in Devon tomorrow (Saturday, November 21) to play White Eagles on the back of a 2-1 win against Bude.

Bude were struggling for points near the base of the table and so Caradon were anticipating a relatively easy match, but struggled to get the upper hand.

The more Caradon tried to up their game, the worse it seemed to get.

With the score at 1-1 nearing the end of the game Caradon would have settled for a point, however with two minutes left Amy Greenbanks’ pass found Clare Poad in the circle and a powerful strike at a tight angle found the net.
