JOLLY'S DRINKS CORNWALL CRICKET

PREMIER DIVISION

Truro v. Callington

CALLINGTON'S relegation worries were not helped by this crushing 158-run defeat at Boscawen Park, and once again fragile batting, sloppy bowling and, in particular, dropped catches contributed to their downfall.

After asking Truro to bat first, the home side had made 16 when Aidan Libby bowled Scott Harvey for only six, and after another 30 were added, Tom Dinnis had Callum Whittaker caught at slip by Matt Robins for ten.

Hopes of scoring 200 to earn a losing draw evaporated by the ninth over, as Callington slumped to 16 for four, with the first three wickets being taken by seamer Mark Lewis.
