CALLINGTON Community College's Basketball Academy are celebrating after clinching the county under-19 crown.

Their victory marks the first time since 2003 that the title hasn't been won by Truro College.

Said Academy coach Jamie Coates: 'The team combined their academic studies with professional coaching from UCP Marjon Plymouth Raiders and, every Wednesday, competed in regional and local fixtures throughout the South West.'
