LISKEARD Athletic manager Martin Burgess has est-ablished a squad of 17 players for the forthcoming 2012-13 Carlsberg South West Peninsula League campaign.

Burgess and his assistant, Kevin Harley, were faced with a complete rebuild job at Lux Park after the whole of last season's squad, bar one, departed for pastures new.

The Blues boss rewarded midfielder Steve Sims for his loyalty by making him club captain.

And Sims has been joined at Liskeard by 16 new signings, which include five from Burgess' former club, Vospers Oak Villa.
