LISKEARD Athletic can not afford to wait too long before appointing a permanent manager for their Carlsberg South West Peninsula League side.

The East Cornwall club are currently third from bottom in the Premier Division table which, due to Dartmouth pulling out of the League, should only have one club relegated at the end of the campaign.

The Blues hold an eight-point advantage over bottom side Penzance, but the Penlee Park outfit have shown signs of a vast improvement of late and, should they go on a run, then the difference could soon be swallowed up.

Cullompton are next to bottom, courtesy of a worse goal difference than Liskeard, but they have a game in hand over the Lux Park team.
