LISKEARD-LOOE held off a spirited Plymouth Barbarians fightback to claim their second successive home victory in the Tribute Cornwall and Devon League.
The hosts had a decent lead at the break but then had a player sent off early in the second half, allowing the visitors back in the game. Barbarians started brightly but were unable to get points on the board.
In fact, it took half-an-hour for the home side toe break the deadlock. Winger Ben Kitto got the first try of the game, converted by James Noel-Johnson, running in from halfway – but the visitors responded immediately from the restart with a drop-goal from James Hannaford.
