Rowett Insurance League Cup Quarter Final

(Tavistock win 4-3 on penalty kicks)

After drawing both their league matches, Saltash went out of the competition on penalty kicks in front of a good-sized crowd.

Tavistock almost took an early lead but the effort bounced off the crossbar. The Ashes eventually took the lead through Scott Coombes only for former Ashes' striker Scott Wellington to draw the teams level at half-time.

The game then swung from end to end with Tavistock having a goal disallowed for offside.

Both teams went for it in extra time but to no avail.

Tavistock were the better at penalty kicks scoring four against three.

The winners are at home to Edgcumbe in the semi-finals.
