MEMBERS of Caradon Indoor Bowls Club gathered to celebrate 25 years of bowling since the club was formed in March 1990.

Some of the original members who were involved in its conception were present at the event which featured a challenge match between the lady and male members – won by the ladies 53 shots to 51 shots – followed by a 'faith' tea.

The club are members of the Cornwall County Indoor Bowls Association and the English Indoor Bowling Association (EIBA) and are represented in both county and national competitions. They also run their own internal club league structures, with the latter often drawing to a very exciting outcome with final positions resting on the final games of the season.

The club now starts its preparations for the 2015/2016 season in the hope that by this time next year Cornwall Council will have announced its final plans and intentions for how its leisure operations will operate from March 2017.
