I have been reading in the paper regarding drinking in public places. On Friday night there were 20-plus youngsters in St Mary's Close in Callington drinking from cans and bottles. Where are they getting the drink from and is someone buying it for them? If, and this is a big if, if someone is selling drinks to under age youngsters they should be reported. Youngsters are out all hours of the night. I don't sleep so good, and I hear and see children as young as 12 coming down my street at two and three o'clock in the morning. What are they doing out at that time of the night? We have some good youngsters in our town, but it's the ones out late at night that we should all be concerned about.
