Young 'Knights of the Road'
From time to time we read the bad press of the youth of today. We would like to put on record our experience.
On Saturday, July 10, at about 7pm, we broke down on the hill leading to the Fountain Hotel, Liskeard, with a burst tyre - not the ideal place to replace a tyre.
Five young men and one young lady, obviously dressed for their Saturday nigh out, stopped to offer assistance and replaced the tyre, oblivious to the fact they were covered in grease and dirt in the process.
We would like, through your paper, to thank them and to state that the 'Knights of the Road' are not dead.
P.S. They refused to receive any compensation.
Two happy, grateful Senior Citizens
