Work by a young artist from South East Cornwall could feature on the nation’s Christmas stamps this year.

Katie Burrows, from Par, has been named as a local winner in the Royal Mail’s children’s Christmas stamp design competition.

And now the 11-year-old’s work will go through to the next stage of the competition where judges will select the top two designs from the South West region to go through to the final. We’ll have more on this in the new print edition of the Cornish Times, on sale on Friday.
