A successful five weeks of netball coaching throughout June has seen the 49 ladies from across the county, who attended the Tuesday evening sessions at Truro College, regularly getting back into netball.

The programme was designed to help remind players how enjoyable the game of netball is, and most who went along had not played netball for a number of years, some since their school days.

The sessions were organised by Cornwall Netball development officer Natasha Howard and coached by Emily Yates from Truro College and St Austell Netball Club.

'The ladies have been fantastic, so enthusiastic, and they have improved tremendously in such a short time,' admitted Yates.

'The sessions were fun and sociable, while also being

educational – the players now have a much better understanding of the game and are fitter too.'
