After recording their first win of the season last week St Cleer U-12 Vanguard XI failed to maintain their momentum when they went down 4-1 against Saltash Youth. However, the score line doesn't justify the amount of effort Saints put into the game. Saints went down 2-0 in the first 20 mins against a strong Saltash team, but from then on began to play as a team again and were unlucky to score through efforts by Lindsay and Bean.

In the second half continue to pile on the pressure and rewarded with a goal through Matt Lindsay. Saints went searching for the equaliser but Saltash caught Saints on the break to seal the match. Ross Coombs had an outstanding game as did Jared Lynn and were both rewarded with managers man of the match. Saltash Youth nominated Ross Coombs.
